Heading under a pillow?

Have you ever felt like this? It’s raining, and raining and raining.

You’ve been looking for work for months and all the news about your town says that the

unemployment rate is 12% or higher.

Are you surprised? No.

You’ve known this and have been watching the downward spiral for quite some time.

What to do?

Some days, if you have the time (which if you are unemployed and the kids are still in school, you may have) try this–

just head under a pillow! Then have a good cry or maybe think of this photo and have a good laugh!

And after that….TRY BUILDING A WEBSITE AND USING GOOGLE ADSENSE

Try an experiment of money-making by building a website using google adsense. Blogspot.com provides a free space to create your website and space for you to place ads. There are instructions on how to add the advertisements. As soon as I figure out how to increase traffic to a site, I’ll let you know. –KayDee

Ever want to get rid of all your old DVDs, videos or books and not have a garage sale? Well, today I’m going to tell you about a way that I’ve made some money without having to

have a garage sale.

I’ve used www.amazon.com and set up a seller’s account there. I’ve been able to get a lot more for DVDs and computer games that I bought for my son or that he got for

Christmas or birthday that way than selling them to a consignment store or trying to have a garage sale.

It is really easy. Just name your account and list the DVD, book etc. You have to decide what shape it is in and then name a price. I usually go for a middle of the road price. To get

paid I set up a bank account separate from the one I usually use and had amazon deposit there. Amazon

will email you when someone buys what you are selling.

The real kicker is that you need to look at your emails on a daily basis because you need to mail out the DVD etc to the buyer a couple of days after they have purchased it.

Amazon will pay you for your postage. This is another way to get a little extra because it doesn’t always cost as much to send first class as you are paid by Amazon.

Anyway, hope this is a help to some of you other moms out there with lots of junk and not much cash at this time.
